Guidelines for Submission of Paper

Interested school librarians, library professionals, research scholars, library administrators, policymakers, and other academics are invited to submit full-text research papers along with a plagiarism report. Submissions should be sent via email to ncsl.ncert@gmail.com in accordance with the following guidelines:

  • Language: Papers need to be submitted in English or Hindi.
  • Length: The manuscript should be between 2,500 to 4,000 words (maximum).
  • Abstract: A concise abstract of 250 (maximum) words must be included in the paper along with 3 to 5 keywords.
  • Formatting: Font: Times New Roman; Font Size: 12 pts (standard text); Headings: 14 pts (bold); Title of the Paper: 16 pts (bold) and Line Spacing: Single
  • Citation Style: References must conform to the APA Style Manual (7th Edition).
  • Author Details: Each submission must clearly state the title (e.g., Dr., Mr., Ms..), full name, institutional affiliation, and email address of all contributing authors.
  • Plagiarism Policy: All papers must be plagiarism-free and in compliance with the UGC Guidelines (2018).

Note: All submitted papers will undergo a review by a panel of subject experts. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an ISBN.

Travel, Registration and Accomodation Guidelines

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will extend travel allowance (TA) support to approximately 100 paper presenters/participants in accordance with NCERT norms.

  • Eligibility for Travel Allowance: TA will be provided only to the first author whose papers are accepted for presentation at the conference.
  • Decision-Making Authority: The provision of financial assistance shall be at the discretion of the Committee constituted, as per the rules framed for this purpose.
  • Priority Criteria: Preference will be given to library professionals affiliated with school libraries from outside Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) for the travel grant.
  • Author Limit: Travel allowance will be provided to only the first author per accepted paper.

Registration and Participation Details

"Due to the limited number of attendees permitted during the conference, participants who wish to attend without submitting or presenting a paper, as well as library professionals accompanying the main author, shall be subject to prior approval and confirmation. Only those participants who receive approval/confirmation from the Conference Secretariat will be required to submit the fee. Kindly note that the fee is non-refundable and does not include accommodation. Participants falling under this category will be required to make their own accommodation arrangements."

After submission of Fee please send the UTR NUMBER/PAYMENT TRANSACTION NUMBER through email ncsl.ncert@gmail.com. It is also advised to carry soft/print copy of the transaction for registration.

Reimbursement Conditions

  • Travel allowance is limited to Third AC train fare or bus fare, upon production of valid travel tickets.
  • Tickets must be booked through authorized sources (IRCTC, M/s Balmer Lawrie and Company, M/s Ashok Travels and Tours) to be eligible for reimbursement under NCERT norms.
  • TA reimbursement will be made via online bank transfer. Participants are required to provide their bank name, account number, and IFSC code for the same.

Accommodation for Non-Local Participants

  • Accommodation for one author per accepted paper may be arranged in NIE Guest Houses/Hostels, subject to prior request and availability, on a payment basis as per NCERT Norms.
  • For non-local participants, accommodation arrangements will be facilitated on a self-financed basis, and prior request is required.
  • NCERT has a limited accommodation for the participants on dual sharing basis per room. Allotment of the accommodation is purely on first come first serve basis only after confirmation from the conference secretariat.
  • Few alternative accommodations available in nearby hotels shall be provided through the conference website.
  • Due to limited accommodation at NIE, NCERT Campus, participants accompanying with family must arrange stay at their own convenience.
